After reviewing Chapter 7, drug overdose data, it can be said that if I would have to present data on drug use to a legislature or legislative committee for making them understand the importance of revising the drug laws, it would be definitely the data records of the deaths due to overdose of drug use in the United States from the year 1999 to 2018. The data tried to explain that in the year 2018, there were about 67,367 deaths due to overdose of drugs in the The United States and there were about 4.1% less in the year 2017 was 70,237 (Hedegaard et al., 2020).
